FNB Art Joburg, Africa’s longest-running contemporary art fair, is back this year from 5–7 September 2025 at the Sandton Convention Centre. The fair brings together artists, galleries, collectors, and audiences to explore the vibrant and diverse landscape of African contemporary art.
“Johannesburg is more than a city; it is the African continent’s cultural engine,” says FNB Art Joburg managing director Mandla Sibeko. “Our role as FNB Art Joburg is to champion the ideas, practices and partnerships that sustain contemporary African art.”
This edition runs alongside Open City (28 August – 11 September), a citywide celebration featuring exhibitions, performances, and cultural activations across Johannesburg.
