Exclusive: First listen to new Bongeezy track

Bongeezy’s new single “No Running” drops on 15 May. Ahead of the release, you can listen to the track here first on 10and5.

Produced by Lunatik Beatz and featuring Liindor and Enocs Mae, the track marks a more introspective moment for the Soweto-born rapper.

Known for his self-described “Boujee Rap” sound, Bongeezy blends vernac storytelling with polished contemporary production. Over the past few years, he has steadily positioned himself as one of the emerging voices within South African hip-hop through collaborations with artists including Yanga Chief, Just Bheki and Th&o.

But “No Running” shifts inward. The song explores emotional avoidance, unresolved pain, accountability and relationship struggles, leaning into the difficult conversations people often try to escape from.

“This song is about the things people avoid dealing with — pain, emotions, truth, relationships,” says Bongeezy. “Everybody runs at some point, but eventually you have to face yourself.”

Liindor and Enocs Mae bring a softer melodic layer to the track, adding emotional depth alongside Bongeezy’s reflective verses. Lunatik Beatz’s cinematic production ties it together, giving the song both emotional weight and replay value.

“No Running” releases officially on 15 May. Until then, listen to the preview above and preserve the song here.
