The Scorpion Kings are bringing their live show to one of South Africa’s biggest stages.
The duo, made up of DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, have announced Scorpion Kings Live at FNB, set to take place on 19 September 2026 in Johannesburg.
The event follows their 2025 show at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, where thousands gathered for a large-scale Amapiano concert. That edition brought together music, fashion and community, and marked a shift in how the genre shows up in live spaces.

This year, they scale things up. The FNB Stadium show is expected to draw over 70,000 people, positioning it as one of the biggest Amapiano concerts to date.
The 2026 theme, A Family Affair, leans into the idea of Amapiano as a shared culture. It centres not only the artists, but also collaborators, dancers, and fans who have shaped the sound’s growth locally and internationally.
Speaking on the move to a larger venue, DJ Maphorisa reflected on last year’s show as a turning point for the genre, describing it as a moment that showed how far Amapiano has come. Kabza De Small added that each edition of the show is about growth, both for them and for the culture around the music.

The Scorpion Kings have played a key role in shaping Amapiano’s global reach. Their live shows continue to evolve alongside the genre, moving from club culture into large-scale stadium experiences.
More details, including the full lineup and ticket information, are expected to be announced soon.
