Black Coffee turns 48

Grammy-award-winning DJ Black Coffee celebrated his 48th birthday on Monday, feeling grateful to reach this milestone after a tough incident earlier this year. Black Coffee underwent surgery for a spine injury following a scary flight to Argentina hit by violent turbulence.

Leading up to his birthday, the 48-year-old hosted a housewarming at his stylish Johannesburg home. Among the famous guests were Oskido, Julius Malema (hmm?), and Cassper Nyovest. Sharing photos and videos online, Black Coffee also gave a peek into his garage, to showcase his collection of luxury cars, including a Lamborghini, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, and Ferrari. (The cars are impressive, but what really got us cooing, was the cute pup!)

TV & FILM NEWS

Barbie’s Funeral

This week we witnessed Barbie’s funeral at the Academy Awards. Despite dominating headlines and scoring 8 Oscar nominations, Barbie only clinched one trophy for best song. The real surprise? Margot Robbie and director Greta Gerwig were left out altogether. But fear not, in true patriarchy fashion, Ryan Gosling saved the day with his smooth rendition of “I’m Just Ken,” featuring a surprise appearance by Guns ‘n Roses guitarist Slash.

If you missed the spectacle, catch the highlights in the video.
