Relebogile Mabotja adds Voice Director to her Plethora of Credits with Upcoming Disney+ Original animated anthology “Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire”

Multi-hyphenated, award-winning media personality and businesswoman, Relebogile Mabotja, continues to grow and expand her skill set in the industry with her latest endeavour as a Voice Director earning her credits in the recently announced upcoming Disney+ Original Anthology “Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire”, set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ on 5 July 2023.

Playing out like her own Disney movie, the opportunity to Voice Direct is a dream come true for Relebogile Mabotja, one she never knew she even had – having been approached to work on the project without any voice directing experience, but with a plan in place on how they were going to upskill and empower her.

“I really am the product of many women who identified talents in me that I did not even see within myself. Thank you Tendayi Nyeke (Executive Producer of “Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire”, from Triggerfish, the lead studio for the project) for believing in me and acknowledging that my directing experience and that of a voice-over artist could be channeled in a different way,” shares Relebogile Mabotja.

She adds: “I never once imagined that I would be in a position directing voice artists and voice actors that I grew up watching, being these skilled thespians and actors like Lilian Dube and Clementine Mosimane, and also working with internationally-recognised directors and artists all over the continent for such a beautiful project.”

“This entire full circle moment is not by chance, and it really was by somebody taking the initiative by saying let’s empower a young black woman and get her to learn under the best and most experienced in Hollywood, and saying, how can we empower her for this? And once you learn under somebody else, you start to find what works for you.”

Disney+’s upcoming animated anthology of short films, “Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire”, features stories from creators hailing from Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, and Zimbabwe, and promises to take viewers on an unforgettable ride into Africa’s future, presenting visions of the continent as never before seen.

The action-packed animated anthology draws on the continent’s rich and diverse histories and cultures to present 10 sci-fi and fantasy stories featuring bold and brave new worlds of advanced technology, aliens, spirits, and monsters and is set to debut globally on 5 July 2023, exclusively on Disney+.
