Greeting cards with a difference.

Growing Paper produces handmade cards with a twist: the paper used for the greeting cards is embedded with flower seeds. So, you can plant your card in a sunny spot, water it and watch your written words come to life.
The handmade paper is made from waste paper that’s been re-processed. Since the paper-making process uses large amounts of water, Growing Paper reuses their waste water for farming activities on the Swartland farm where they’re situated.
Marcii Goose for everything

Marcii Goosen is an artist, designer and interior monkey.
Her art and design-making practice spans, diversely, over visual essays on fabric and paper, crafting intricate objects, through to producing extensive graphic stills and filmic installation projects.
She has most recently been involved in the creation of the adidas Originals Three Stories event as well as the Spier Contemporary 2010. She is also part of the Papergirl exhibition, and will be traveling to Berlin for the Papergirl international meeting next month.
Marcii remains captivated with observing and creating opaque codes through public and private praxis. With her involvement in projects such as Papergirl, she’s proving that she has her fist firmly pressed against the cultural heartbeat.

Life Is Awesome
Life is Awesome hails from the far land of Stellenbosch. Between majestic mountains, a shady patch of moss birthed a graphic design collaboration some time ago.
Life is Awesome has been around since Attila the Hun died of a nose bleed (caused by eating too much Danish blue cheese). You can even spot us in the backgrounds of some classical paintings pulling gangster poses. In other words, we have been around for ever.
Breathing life into design and corporate companies is our particular speciality. We offer services extending from very convincing corporate ids to sleek websites and outstanding print design. We also happen to make some serious sandwiches and potent coffee. And you’re always invited.

Alistair Palmer – ordinary guy with big ideas
Alistair Palmer was born in Hermanus and lives in Cape Town. He takes inspiration from the world around him and enjoys the little things in life. He surfs, rides bicycles, and enjoys working with power tools and wood. Alistair likes beer and card games, camping, making coffee, organising things and collecting junk. Makes for a good creative foundation.
Constantly playing with colour and texture, Alistair’s work exists in both design and art, the line between the two becoming somewhat blurry. He likes this, because it means one idea can live many lives beyond the screen. Read more…
